Terms and Conditions

These terms explain how booking, payment and delivery work when you hire Judah Vision Studios (“we”, “us”) for video, photography, motion graphics or web design. By sending a booking request, accepting a quote or paying a deposit, you agree to these terms. If anything here doesn’t fit your project, talk to us before you book and we’ll put any changes in writing.

1. Prices

All prices are in Canadian dollars and do not include GST, which is added at checkout.
Our prices may change over time. We review our rates from time to time to reflect costs, equipment and the value of our work. The prices shown on our website and booking page are current on the day you view them.
Your price is locked once your booking is confirmed. Any later price change will not affect a booking we’ve already confirmed or a deposit you’ve already paid.
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless the quote says otherwise.
Prices on our website are for our standard services. Projects that are larger, unique or outside a standard package are priced by custom quote.
For monthly content plans, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ written notice before any price change takes effect.

2. Booking and confirmation

Sending a booking request does not charge you anything and does not reserve your date.
Your booking is confirmed once we accept it and your deposit is paid.
If the deposit isn’t paid within 2 days of confirmation, your date is released to other clients.
The estimate in our booking cart is based on the details you provide. If the scope changes, we’ll confirm the updated price with you before any work goes ahead.

3. Payment

A deposit of 30% of the project total is due to secure your date. All deposits are non-refundable.
The balance is due on delivery, before final files are released, unless we agree on a different schedule in writing.
Larger projects may be split into milestone payments.
Payments are made securely online by card through Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
Monthly content plans are billed monthly and have a 3-month minimum term.

4. Deposits, rescheduling and cancellations

Deposits are non-refundable, no matter when you cancel. Your deposit reserves time in our schedule that we turn other clients away for.
Rescheduling: You can move your booking once with at least 7 days’ notice. Your deposit carries over to the new date, which must be within 6 months.
Cancelling less than 7 days before your date: your deposit is kept, and any other payments made for work already done are non-refundable.
If we need to cancel or reschedule because of illness, emergency, unsafe weather or equipment failure, we’ll offer you a new date first. If no date works for you, we’ll refund any payments for work not yet done.
For outdoor shoots, we’ll make the weather call together and reschedule at no charge if conditions make the shoot unsafe or unworkable.

5. Your responsibilities

Arrange access to your location, along with any permits or building permissions needed for filming or photography.
Make sure the people being filmed or photographed know about the shoot and agree to appear.
Provide any logos, branding, scripts or content you want used, and make sure you have the right to use them.
Be on time. If a session starts late or runs over because of delays on your side, extra time may be billed at our hourly rate.

6. Revisions and changes

Edited videos include one round of revisions unless your package says otherwise. Extra rounds can be added at our current rate.
Revisions are changes to the agreed edit, such as trims, text, music or colour. New concepts, new footage or major structural changes are quoted separately.
Please send your revision notes within 14 days of receiving a draft. After that, we’ll treat the project as approved and finalize it.

7. Delivery

Standard delivery is 5 to 7 business days for photos. Video and web timelines depend on scope and will be confirmed when you book.
Rush delivery is available for an added fee when you book, subject to availability.
Files are delivered by online download. Please save your files right away. We keep project files for at least 90 days after delivery, but we can’t guarantee they’ll be available after that.
Raw, unedited files are not included unless you add them to your booking.

8. Usage rights

Once your project is paid in full, you can use the final delivered photos and videos to promote your business, including on your website, social media, ads, presentations and print.
Judah Vision Studios keeps the copyright to the work we create. You may not resell the files or claim them as your own work.
We may share your project in our portfolio, website and social media. If you’d prefer we didn’t, just tell us in writing before your shoot.
For websites, you own your site’s content once it’s paid in full. Third-party themes, plugins, fonts and stock assets are subject to their own licences.

9. Limitation of liability

We take great care with every project and back up your files. In the rare event that something goes wrong on our side, such as equipment failure or file loss, our liability is limited to the amount you’ve paid for the affected service.
We’re not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by events outside our control.

10. Errors and omissions (E&OE)

We work hard to keep the prices, descriptions and details on our website, quotes and invoices accurate. Errors and omissions are excepted (E&OE).
If we find a mistake in a price or description, we reserve the right to correct it. If the mistake affects a booking you’ve already made, we’ll contact you before going ahead, and you can choose to continue at the correct price or cancel. If you cancel because of our error, we’ll refund what you’ve paid, including your deposit.
Images, examples and package descriptions on our website are for illustration. Final deliverables are based on what’s agreed in your booking or quote.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you confirm your booking is the one that applies to your project.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
