General price ranges
Using our own pricing as a guide, here’s what most people can expect (CAD, plus GST):
- Individual headshots: roughly $150 to $350 per person, depending on how many edited images you want, the location and how fast you need them.
- Team headshots: priced around your headcount and schedule. Photographing a whole team in one visit is usually the most efficient way to do it.
- Extras: more edited images, a studio setup or same-day delivery each add a little to the total, and you only add them if you need them.
Most sessions include a set of professionally retouched images, so you walk away with a LinkedIn photo, a website photo and a few spares for proposals or press.
When your needs are a little different
Not every headshot session looks the same. You might need photos for a 40-person team across two offices, a mix of headshots and candid office shots for your website, or portraits that match a new brand. Those projects deserve a plan built around them.

What affects headshot pricing
Number of edited images
Retouching takes time, so most photographers include a set number of edited images and charge for extras. Check how many are included before you book, so there are no surprises.
Location
Coming to you is often the easiest option for busy teams. A photographer can bring lights and a backdrop to your office so nobody has to leave work. A studio session gives you a fully controlled setup.
Team size
For team headshots, the goal is consistency: the same lighting, framing and backdrop for everyone, so your website and LinkedIn look like one brand.
Turnaround
Need a photo before a conference, a launch or a new job announcement? Rush delivery saves the day, but planning a week ahead saves you the fee.
How to get a headshot you’ll actually use
- Wear solid colours and what you’d wear to meet a client.
- Bring a second top if you’d like options.
- Think about where the photo will go. A law firm website and a creative agency’s Instagram call for different energy.
- Relax. A good photographer guides every expression, so you don’t have to know how to pose.
